THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, here on Friday, ordered the Deputy Superintendent of Police, State Cyber Cell, to conduct a detailed probe into the mobile phone call records of Kerala Congress (B) leader R Balakrishna Pillai, who is undergoing rigorous imprisonment.The detailed probe was ordered after Magistrate V P Indira Devi was convinced that a case exists prima facie after recording the sworn statement of social activist Joy Kaitharath, who had filed a plea in this regard.The DySP has been ordered to collect whatever data, including sound recordings, that is available on the server of BSNL pertaining to the calls and SMSes, both incoming and outgoing made using Pillai’s mobile phone number 9447155555 during the past six months. The Magistrate has also ordered the DySP to submit a detailed report on or before October 31.Advocate Kowdiar M Rahul appeared for the petitioner.
