BHUBANESWAR: A 35 year old daily wager was found dead in Laxmi Narayan slums of Salia Sahi on Friday afternoon. He is believed to have been murdered.The deceased was identified as Barik Reddy, about 35 years of age. His brother-in-law Laxman Reddy has been detained and is being quizzed.Preliminary investigation said he had gone to his in-law’s place on Thursday evening. Reddy’s in-law’s stay in the same colony.However, on Friday afternoon, they brought his body in an autorickshaw and left it near the house.Though there was no external injuries on his body, there was blood oozing out of his mouth and nose. Police suspect Reddy either consumed poisonous substances or he was forced too. Foul play is not ruled out either.Since the body was detected at 5 pm, post mortem could not be conducted. Nayapalli Police has registered a case in this connection.
