Create awareness on blood donation

BANGALORE: The convention of blood donation camp organisers organised by the Rashtrotthana Blood Bank witnessed the participation of more than 100 organisers of blood donation camps here on Saturday.Speaking on the occasion, general secretary of Rashtrotthana Blood Bank Dinesh Hegde said that voluntary blood donations were pivotal for blood transfusion services as there was a huge requirement of safe blood in hospitals across the city.The need to educate blood camp organisers on the safe blood donation technique was also discussed in the convention.Mentioning about the shortage of technicians, he stated, “There is a shortage of technicians who can train the organisers of blood donation camps and help them maintain the quality and  blood donation.”
