'Respect Everyone's Opinions and Make Each Person Feel Valued': Team India Physio Reveals Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid's Best Traits
Following India's T20 World Cup victory, one of the physios opened up about what made Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid so special.

Weeks after India’s glorious T20 World Cup 2024 winning campaign, one of the physios who was part of the Indian team penned a heartfelt note where he lauded the efforts of both the skipper Rohit Sharma and the Head Coach Rahul Dravid for their ability to make each member of the team feel valued.

Kamlesh Jain who is the physio of the Indian team opened up on his time with the Indian team where he delivered massive praise to the iconic figures of Indian cricket that is Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid.

In his long post, he said,” I want to pen down that their cricketing achievements—runs, catches, wickets, stumpings, leadership abilities, and skill sets—are impressive, but what truly sets them apart is their respect for everyone’s opinions and their ability to make each person feel valued”.

“‘Team’ is at the heart of every conversation and meeting that they are involved with. These individuals have hearts of gold and a mind of wisdom and spent countless memorable hours discussing how to continually improve our team,” he added.

Another key point from the post was that despite their dominant record throughout the year, their key to the consistency shown was fine-tuning the marginal aspects of the game. “Even after significant victories, their focus remains on what we could have done better,” he added.

Following India’s T20 World Cup 2023 victory, Rohit has called time on his T20I career along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja while Rahul Dravid’s stint as the head coach came to an end.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, recently announced that Gautam Gambhir has been announced to take over Rahul Dravid’s role and his stint will begin in the Sri Lanka series that is slated to begin later in July.

It remains to be seen who Gambhir will look to back as the skipper in the shortest format, with the T20I side looking to bring in the next generations of talent.
