Anger flows across delta

With Karnataka going against the directives of the SC and CRA and stopping the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, cadre of Left parties in delta districts blocked trains at several places in Tiruchy, Thanjavur and Tiruvarur districts on Tuesday condemning the act of the neighbouring State. CPI state secretary D Pandian, who led the rail roko in Thanjavur, demanded that External Affairs Minister SM Krishna be sacked from the Cabinet for writing to the PM to stop water release to TN.

Meanwhile, in Chennai, PMK leader Ramadoss on Tuesday demanded that Centre take control of all dams across Cauvery, post the Army for security and ensure TN its rightful share of water.
