How to Find a Registry on Amazon: A Step-by-Step Guide
If someone you know is getting married or having a baby, there's a good chance they've created a registry on Amazon. You can use Amazon's simple registry search tool to find someone's wedding registry, baby registry, or other gift list on Amazon. Read on to learn how to find a registry on Amazon using your computer, Android, iPhone, or iPad.
Quick Steps

Find a Registry in the Amazon App

Tap the menu in the Amazon app ☰. You'll see these three horizontal lines at the bottom-right corner of the Amazon app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.

Tap Gifting & Registry. You'll see this under "Shop by category."

Select Registry & Gift List. This opens the Amazon gift registry search page.

Tap Find a registry. You'll see this near the top of the page.

Search for the person by name and registry type. Enter the person's name into the top field, select Baby Registry, Wedding Registry, or Gift List from the menu, and tap Search to locate that person's registry.

Select the registrant's name to view their registry. If there are matches, you'll see the name of each registry owner in the search results. If you get too many results or are not finding the right person, you can select additional options such as the location or event date. If you're searching for a gift list, you can select a specific occasion like Birthday, Graduation, Holiday, or Housewarming.

Find a Registry on a Computer

Hover your cursor over "Accounts & Lists." You'll see this option at the top of Amazon.com. You don't need an Amazon account to find someone's registry.

Click Find a List or Registry. You'll see this under the "Your Lists" heading.

Click Find a registry. This is on the left side of the page, just above the "Create" button.

Search for the person by name and registry type. Enter the person's name into the top field, select Baby Registry, Wedding Registry, or Gift List from the menu, and click Search to locate that person's registry.

Why can't I find a registry?

The registry may be too new. If the registrant just created the registry, it may not be searchable yet. Wedding registries are searchable 15 minutes after creation. Baby registries are searchable anywhere from one to six hours after creation. Gift registries, including Birthday, Graduation, Holiday, and Housewarming registries, are searchable 24 hours after creation.

Not all registries are searchable. If the registry owner marked their registry as Private or Shared, you won't be able to search for it until they change the privacy level to Public. Contact the registry owner and ask them to share it with you directly.

If the list owner is a child, search for the parent's name. If you're trying to find a baby registry or a child's gift list on Amazon, search for the parent's name instead of the child's name.

How do I find someone's Amazon wish list?

The wish list owner will need to share their list with you. Unlike baby registries, wedding registries, and gift lists, it's not possible to search for wish lists on Amazon. If someone created a wish list instead of a gift list or registry, you can ask the person to share their wish list URL with you. If the person you're shopping for doesn't know how to share their wish list, here are simple steps they can follow: Mobile app: Tap the person icon at the bottom and select Your Lists. Tap the wish list you want to share. Tap Invite at the top. Tap View only. Alternatively, if the intention is that you'll both be adding items you want to the same wish list, select View and edit instead. Choose a sharing option, such as Email to send it via email, or Text Message to text the wish list address. Computer: Hover your mouse cursor over "Accounts & Lists" at the top of Amazon.com. Select the list you want to share under "Your Lists." Click Send list to others at the top-right. Click View only. Alternatively, if the intention is that you'll both be adding items you want to the same wish list, select View and edit instead. Select Copy link to copy the link to the clipboard and paste it anywhere. Or, to send the link via email, tap Invite by email.
