Madrid: Iker Casillas has claimed that Real Madrid have nothing to fear from rivals Barcelona, and that in time his Los Blancos team will be equally as successful.
The shot-stopper spoke to the media on Tuesday ahead of the Copa del Rey meeting with Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu, and the Spanish No.1 stated that in order to overcome the Blaugrana, it will take time.
"The difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona is time," Casillas warned.
"They have come together in the time in which they have been playing, and we need that time. However, it is impossible to tell that to the Bernabeu, because Madrid always has to be the order of the day, and be there.
“However I feel that we are progressing very well, quietly, and we have plenty of time to avenge our 5-0 defeat, which of course hurt us.”
Speaking further about Pep Guardiola's side, Casillas maintained that he has respect, but not fear, for the champions, adding: "I have no fear of Barcelona. The numbers are there, they are in first place and I respect them for that, but we will keep fighting. Real Madrid are an institution."
