The application process for admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) for the 2025-26 academic year has begun. This opportunity allows students to apply for entry into Class 6 at these prestigious schools, which offer free education from Class 6 through 12, including accommodation, food, uniforms, and books.
Each district has a Navodaya Vidyalaya, and while the entrance examination for Class 6 and Class 9 is conducted annually, seats are limited. For Class 6, there are 80 seats available per school, with the majority allocated to students from rural areas and a few reserved for those from urban areas.
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2025 will determine admissions for Class 6. Interested candidates must submit their applications by September 16.
Jalore Additional District Collector Shivcharan Meena provided details on the application process and encourages eligible students to apply before the deadline.
Application Process for Admission
If you or any student currently in Class 5 wishes to apply for admission to Class 6 at a Navodaya Vidyalaya, you can follow the steps below:
- Visit the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti website at navodaya.gov.in.
- Click on the Class 6 application link in the ‘Important News’ section of the website.
- Select the registration link and provide the required information, such as name, contact details, and other personal information.
- Once registration is complete, log in using the username and password provided.
- Fill in all required details, including school information and previous class details.
- After completing the application, pay the prescribed fee.
- Print a copy of the application form for your records.
Please note that there are only 80 seats available for Class 6, with most reserved for students from rural areas. The application deadline is September 16, so be sure to apply before this date. By following these steps, you can successfully apply for admission to Class 6 at Navodaya Vidyalaya.
