Following his blockbuster return to the Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya revealed his intentions for the upcoming season of the IPL 2024. The all-rounder remains thankful for the support he has received from the fans and reflects on his journey to becoming one of India’s finest all-rounders.
In an interaction with Star Sports, Pandya was grateful for the reception from the fans following his return to the franchise. “I’m deeply thankful for the immense love and support from fans. It’s a blessing beyond words,” he shared.
He recalled his journey with the side where he has gone on to win four titles with the franchise. “From my journey as a young lad in Baroda to Mumbai, this city has taught me growth, instilling in me humility and resilience. The city’s love and teachings are invaluable to me, shaping me into the cricketer I am today. Mumbai always challenges you to be better and now with the IPL, I have returned home after 2 years.”

The premier all-rounder is now back in blue and will be looking to get the franchise back to winning ways. Pandya is looking forward to the season as he will take over as the captain. Speaking ahead of the season he mentioned, “I seek the same backing from our fans to propel us towards victory,” he urged. “Rest assured, I’ll ensure a thrilling season that every supporter will relish. It’s a journey we’ll all enjoy together.”
The 30-year-old has made his return to competitive cricket, taking part in the DY Patil T20 tournament after picking up an injury during the 2023 ODI World Cup.
