In Chennai Theatre, Fans Dance During Screening Of Dhanush's 2012 Film 3

According to reports, Dhanush-Shruti Haasan-starrer 2012 film 3 was recently re-released across theatres in Chennai. The film got an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience. In a theatre of Virudhunagar, the fans were seen dancing and celebrating during the screening of the film

The Tamil romantic film 3, was re-released in theatres after 11 years of its original release. It was re-released on November 6, garnering a positive response from the fans and audience. The re-release at the Ritchie Sriram Theatre in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, at 3:30 p.m., witnessed fans singing and dancing along to every song of the film, even taking to the theatre’s stage.

According to more reports, some fans were not able to watch the film when it was released earlier. They said they had an amazing experience finally watching it after all these years. Those who were experiencing watching the film a second time said that they had to celebrate the film by re-watching it in the theatre. A video shared by News18 shows the whole theatre rushing to the stage to dance along to the songs of the film.

More reports state that the film’s shows were sold out in all the regions across Chennai, and received positive responses from everywhere. Reacting to it, Dhanush took to his official X account to express his gratitude. He tweeted, “3 Re-release response: Emotional, thankful and overwhelmed. A million thanks.”

Directed by Aishwarya R Dhanush, the film was originally released on March 30, 2012. The film features Dhanush, Shruti Haasan, Sivakarthikeyan, Sunder Ramu, Prabhu and Gabriella Charlton. It was produced by Kasthuri Raja Vijaylakshmi, under the banner of GopuArjunFilms. The music composer in the film is Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s viral song Why This Kolaveri Di is one of the most streamed songs on the internet.
