New Delhi: To counter the new kid in the entry-level sedan segment, the Amaze, Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition version of its best seller, the Dzire, in India. Called Dzire Regal, the special edition is priced at Rs 5.95 lakh ex-Mumbai and celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Dzire in India.
Available in the mid-level Vxi trim, the Regal brings with it some cosmetic changes to both the outside and inside. The 1.2-litre K series 87PS petrol engine though has been left untouched.
So what are the changes? For starters there is a new Serene Blue colour on offer. The grille gets a silver-finish to it and so do the fog lamps and ORVMs. There are body coloured mud flaps and rear parking sensors.
As is the norm with special or limited editions, there are also body graphics. For the interiors, Maruti has put stainless steel door sills, beige floor mats, wooden inserts for the armrests and on door pads, an integrated music system, leather-covered steering wheel and last of all, a car perfume.
No official word has been released as till what date the Dzire Regal will be on sale. But our guess is as good as yours. Right till the Amaze craze doesn't come down that is.
