Air India Debuts Brand-New Airbus A350 On Delhi-Dubai Route, Here's What We Know
Currently, Air India flies 72 times a week to Dubai from five Indian cities, with 32 of those flights originating from Delhi.

Air India, one of India’s top airlines, kicked off its flights from Delhi to Dubai using its fresh Airbus A350-900 plane sporting the airline’s cool new look.

This marks the first time Air India’s flagship aircraft has flown internationally, making Air India the exclusive operator of the A350 on the India-Dubai route.

The airline, as per the official Press Release, celebrated the occasion with fancy ceremonies at both airports, gifting guests A350 souvenirs.

In Dubai, Mr. Satish Kumar Sivan, India’s Consul General, along with Mr. Jamal Al Hai, Deputy CEO of Dubai Airport, and Mr. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, lit a ceremonial lamp to mark the first departure.

The A350-900 boasts a three-class setup with 316 seats: 28 plush Business suites, 24 comfy Premium Economy seats, and 264 roomy Economy seats. Plus, all seats come with top-notch Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment and HD screens loaded with over 2,200 hours of global content.

Air India added the A350s to its fleet this year as part of a big order of 470 new aircraft placed last year.
