The security of 26/11 mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Hafiz Saeed has been enhanced in Pakistan following a threat alert.

The terrorist's security was tightened by the Punjab province government following a home department alert of a possible attempt on his life.

According to the alert, a foreign intelligence agency may make an attempt on the JuD chief's life.

Saeed is the mastermind of 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and is included in the list of most wanted in India.

The terrorist had in August also claimed threat to his life, blaming an Indian movie, 'Phantom' for the same. The Lahore High Court had, hearing his petition, imposed a ban on the movie following arguments that "there is a direct threat to the life of the petitioner (Saeed) and his associates emanating from the content of the trailer of the film".
