Watch: Owner Finds Her Cat Trapped Behind Newly Built Apartment Wall

It is very common for pet owners to panic when their furry friends go missing. However, this came as the shock of her life after a woman could hear her cat meowing and scratching but just could not see him. A video recently went viral on social media showing the woman sharing her ordeal after she was forced to rescue her pet cat after maintenance workers allegedly sealed the animal inside her wall during a repair job at her home.

Originally shared on TikTok by a woman named Jay, the video shows her expressing her disbelief. “I really can not believe the maintenance team patched my cat into the freaking wall!! I feel sooo bad he was probably so scared,” wrote Jay in her caption.

According to the video, Jay who lives in King of Prussia discovered the blunder after she walked into her apartment, only to hear meowing and scratching at the wall.

Upon realising the situation, she dialled the maintenance emergency line for help where she was suggested to dig a hole in the wall to bring out the cat. As the video proceeds, the woman continues to dig a hole into the wall, and in a few moments, the cat finally manages to poke its paw through the gap in the plaster, prompting its owner to bring her out of it.

After scraping for a few more minutes, the gap became wide enough for the cat to squeeze through and escape the prison.

“I was so relieved after I got him out. I was bailing my eyes out. My cats are my babies, the owner wrote in the caption.

Despite being trapped behind the wall for several hours, the cat seemed to be fine and healthy.

This is not the first such instance that has gotten the internet’s attention, Earlier in 2021, another video surfaced on the internet where a pet owner discovered her cat trapped behind the newly put-up tiles on her wall. Sharing a video on social media, the pet owner shared that the cat was hiding behind the walls when the tiles were being fitted. It was the cat’s meowing that caught her attention, prompting her to cut out a square of tile to cut it out.
