UP Woman Clings on to Moving Car's Door As Driver Holds Her Back, Police Respond to Viral Video
Viral video shows a woman clinging on to a side door of moving car as someone driving the vehicle held her back, Lucknow police begins probe.

In a truly bizarre event captured on video, a woman was observed grasping onto a car door as the UP-registered vehicle was in motion. The now-viral footage depicted the driver of the car holding onto the woman with one hand as she stood precariously on the car’s sidestep. The vehicle prominently displayed both the label “advocate” and the corresponding term.

Sharing the incident on ‘X’, journalist Vivek Tripathi raised questions about the occurrence. He noted that the incident occurred near Phoenix Palassio Mall, Lucknow, urging the attention of Lucknow Police to the matter. While it remained uncertain whether this was a planned road stunt or a matter concerning the woman’s safety, the video was captured by a fellow commuter who deemed the incident both bizarre and a threat to road safety.

The video quickly gained traction, sparking reactions from the public. One user remarked, “Tripathi ji, do you know about pre wedding shoot or not?? The same thing is happening there.” Another voiced concern about the disregard for traffic laws, stating, “Where have the traffic rules gone here? Now who will stop them, put the level of law, they are the ones who are breaking the law in the car, it is unfortunate for my India, they are abandoning such people, it is like a small send-off, if strict action is not taken against them, I don’t know.”

Others pointed out the negligence of the person recording the video towards driving regulations, as the seat belt warning could be heard in the background. One commented, “Seat belt warning to apki car me b aa rhi h. Tripathi ji belt laga lo (You’re getting a seat belt warning in your car. Tripathi ji, please buckle up).” Another advised, “Pahile to sir ji aap apna seat belt lgaye please (First, sir, please fasten your seat belt).”

Meanwhile, Lucknow Police acknowledged the incident, stating, “A case has been registered at Sushant Golf City police station in relation to the case, advance legal action is being taken.”
