On May 10, Pooja was rushed to the hospital after a snake bit her. According to the victim, she was working at home when the snake bit her. The incident happened in the courtyard of her house. After she realised this, she informed her family members about what happened. Her family took immediate action and took her to the hospital for treatment. She was rushed to Bahoriband Hospital. Then she was referred to the district hospital. Doctors were able to save her, as she reached the hospital in time. She was dosed with antivenom.

After she recovered, her revelation about the truth shocked her family members and surrounding people. She revealed that she had been bitten by a snake six times. The series of attacks took place within the last six years. She was bitten by a snake in the courtyard of her house. She also revealed that the snake never invaded the home to bite. After she revealed the details, people talked about the incident. Her miraculous survival, even after enduring so much pain, has set an example of strength among the local people.

In a similar incident, a woman from the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh was bitten by a snake 13 times in one year. Savitry Dubey, the victim, talked about the incident. She was saved each time due to timely treatment. She revealed the shocking details that she has been bitten by cobras, wheatgrass, kodillas, black snakes, sadhanas and green snakes, too. She rushed to the hospital every time after getting bitten by the snakes. According to the victim, she worships snakes and does puja too.
