The supernatural is a phenomenon that remains the most debated in the world. Skeptics deny the existence of the paranormal while others maintain there are forces beyond the understanding of mankind or science in this world. To validate the notion of believers, there are certain famous haunted sites in the world, many of which have people experiencing the presence of something supernatural in their vicinity. Although modern science does not acknowledge these sites, it cannot be denied that these places often have a large number of people believing in their notoriety. And there is always some truth to rumours. Today, we talk about a similar haunted area in our neighboring country Pakistan. This is the story of House No 39-K of Karachi.

The presence of a shining light surrounding house No. 39-K, which could merely indicate that someone is residing there, can be observed if you continue down block 6 at P.E.C.H.S. The catch is that the house has been vacant for decades. The majority of witnesses swear they saw a light-skinned woman in a white dress leave the scene, walk down the street and disappear suddenly.

A housing society for cooperative employees was established years ago at the location of this house, according to a Pakistan Journal story. Numerous homes were constructed in tandem, housing a large population. However, House No. 39-K remained empty for a while, and one evening a bright light appeared from within. The sight of that much light at night was unsettling. Then a pale woman in a white dress was spotted inside the residence. Word spread and the co-operative housing soon saw an exodus of dwellers.

Despite the fact that this property has been closed for years, a white light is seen in the gallery practically every day. In the same gallery, a white-clad woman is frequently spotted wandering around. It has become a popular tourist destination in Karachi but only during daytime do people see the house from outdoors. No one dares venture in the vicinity at night.

There are many unconfirmed legends about the spirit inhabiting the house but the most famous one is that the spirit is that of a woman kidnapped and brought to the house, sexually assaulted and then killed and buried in the house itself. The confirmed truth, though, is one that we may never know.
