Meet MrBeast, The YouTuber Who Surpassed T-Series In Subscribers
Throughout his YouTube career, Jimmy Donaldson received several esteemed honours such as the Creator of the Year Award.

T-Series, a Bollywood music label, held the most-subscribed YouTube channel for years when Felix Kjellberg aka PewDiePie gave up his long battle for first place. However, YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson now has that title after he claimed in a post yesterday that T-Series had been surpassed by his MrBeast YouTube channel, where he claimed to have “avenged” PewDiePie. Donaldson shared a screenshot indicating that he had gained 2 million additional subscribers. According to the web tracker Social Blade, he currently has 268 million subscribers.

Even Elon Musk, the owner of X, commented, “Wow, congrats!”

Another user commented, “Much deserved greatest YouTuber of all time.”

Meanwhile, a third user said, “Damnnnn this is huuuge!!! Congratz.”

Who Is MrBeast?

Jimmy Donaldson is an American YouTuber, entrepreneur, philanthropist and online celebrity. He is popularly known as MrBeast.

He is well-known for his high-production, fast-paced videos with intricate tasks and substantial prizes.

Donaldson, a native of Wichita, Kansas, rose to fame with his challenge and giveaway videos.

He was only 13 when he started his YouTube account in 2012.

However, in 2017, one of his videos received over 10,000 views in just a few days.

Throughout his YouTube career, Donaldson received several esteemed honours, such as the Creator of the Year Award four times in a row.

He was listed as one of the top 100 important persons in the world by Time in 2023.

Additionally, he was listed by Forbes as the highest-paid YouTube creator in 2022.

Last month, Donaldson challenged T-Series’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to a boxing fight, uploading a photo of their respective channel subscriber figures.

“I challenge the CEO of T-Series to a boxing match,” wrote Donaldson.

Why did he mention PewDiePie in his latest post?

Felix Kjellberg, a Swedish YouTuber better known by his username PewDiePie, was the highest-paid YouTuber globally. Well-known for his commentary on video games, he surpassed T-Series as the most subscribed YouTube channel. But in 2017, Disney chose to sever the ties with him, and the YouTuber took down all references to Nazis from his videos.

MrBeast purchased radio, television and billboard commercials to assist PewDiePie in surpassing T-Series in subscriber growth during the battle between the two platforms.
