The recently released film ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ has created quite a stir in Bollywood, with much attention on its leading lady, Pashmina Roshan. Sharing the screen with Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal, Pashmina’s debut has been eagerly awaited, particularly as she is the cousin of the renowned Hrithik Roshan. Fans have been buzzing with curiosity about the bond between the new starlet and the ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ icon.
In a candid interview, Pashmina shared insights into her relationship with Hrithik. She affectionately refers to him as “Duggu Bhaiyya,” underscoring the warmth and close-knit nature of their bond. She told Bollywood Hungama, “We have a family group chat named Real Deal, where Duggu bhaiya, Saba Azad (Hrithik’s girlfriend), Ashu bhaiya, Hrehaan and Hridhaan are there,” adding that, “We are obsessed with each other.”
Pashmina Roshan, the rising star making waves with her debut in ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound,’ has a special connection to her cousin, Hrithik Roshan. For her auditions, she chose to wear an HRX T-shirt, a brand co-founded by Hrithik, dubbing it her “lucky charm.” In an endearing revelation, Pashmina spoke about her close-knit relationship with Hrithik, sharing, “I cannot not tell him everything. I can tell anything to Duggu bhaiya. I am sure he keeps secrets for me,” she added.
Pashmina Roshan, daughter of renowned composer Rajesh Roshan, has opened up about the deep bond she shares with her cousin Hrithik Roshan and their close-knit family. She revealed that their family often enjoys sleepovers where they share secrets and cherish quality time together. “Even when we are on a holiday, no one wants to be in their rooms, we put gaddas in the halls and sleep together and tell each other our secrets,” she shared.
Earlier, Pashmina also mentioned seeking invaluable advice from Hrithik before venturing into acting. “Yes, of course, I had his advice on how to improve as a performer and how to be better in life overall,” she told Free Press Journal.
News18 Showsha’s review of the film read, “The disappointing camera work bogs down the film’s viewing experience. But fortunately, the actors manage to hold our hands until the end. Ishq Vishk Rebound is out and out Rohit Saraf’s film. He is the narrator of the film. His character, Raghav, often breaks the fourth wall to talk to the audience and share his thoughts. The approach is heavily inspired from Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Emmy-award winning show Fleabag. In India, Kader Khan had done it in the 1980s with Ghar Ho Toh Aisa.”
At the trailer launch, producer Ramesh Taurani had revealed she had auditioned for the role and had not revealed her background until her family name popped up when she was signing the contract. In an interview with News18, Dharmadhikari said that though the role was tough to cast, when he found Pashmina, he knew she was a perfect fit.
“Pashmina was my only choice to play Samiya, nobody else came close. In that list of shortlisted names, there was only one name when it came to Samiya,” the filmmaker said. “I think Pashmina’s character was the toughest to cast, she plays a different character. Once you see the film you will understand. Her character walks a very thin line. But I think she got it absolutely right in her audition. Pashmina herself has a very enduring quality and that worked in her favour, especially when it came to casting Samiya.”
The film marks the second film in the Ishq Vishk franchise and features four fresh faces — Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, Rohit Suresh Saraf and Naila Grrewal.
