In life, people sometimes make mistakes that they regret for the rest of their lives. Such was the case with a man who recently took a DNA test, only to uncover a shocking truth. This story was reportedly shared by the man himself on Reddit five years ago. A long time has passed since the man posted the story but it continues to astonish people who hear it.
The man posted the long story of his surprising experience in the group named r/23andme on the social media platform Reddit. He explained that when his age was 20, he had a brief affair with a woman. During their relationship, the girl became pregnant and gave birth to a son. However, the woman was involved with other men at the time and it was unclear who was the real father of the son. Following a court order, a paternity test was conducted, but the results showed that he was not the father. Then he decided to part ways with the woman.
Then the man got into an affair with another woman. The story then progresses to 2017 when the man took another DNA test as he was curious about knowing his family history. Then, in 2019, the son born to the woman with whom he had an affair 23 years ago also took a DNA test to find out his real biological father. It turned out that the man and the boy took the test in the same place. The results surprisingly matched with each other.

The boy then contacted the man and informed him about the match. He was stunned to know this as the test that was taken 23 years ago claimed something else. In 2019, the man got married. Presently, he is the father of a 26-year-old daughter and three sons aged 11, 12, and 14. The boy presently stays with his grandmother.
In the post, the man further mentioned that the boy and his grandmother visited his home to meet him and his family. He wrote, “While it was awkward at first, it got better as the day progressed. We all talked, ate, and went through a bunch of family pictures that I put on a thumb drive for him. I broke it all down into folders of immediate family, maternal and then paternal folder. They seemed to enjoy the visit as well.”
