Adding to its customer services, OnePlus has introduced two smartphone coverage options in the form of B2X Service and B2X Protect for the OnePlus 2 smartphone.
As per the the B2X Service, with every purchase of the OnePlus 2, customers are entitled to a manufacturer's warranty for the device for upto a year from the date of purchase. This plan covers all defects that are covered under manufacturer's warranty for another more year after the expiry of the original manufacturer's warranty for the device. The cost of the service is Rs 999.
The B2X Protect service, on the other hand, covers accidental, physical and liquid damage to the OnePlus 2 device during the first year of the product purchase. The B2X Protect is priced at Rs 1,299.
Customers are required to purchase a service plan within 30 days of purchase of the OnePlus 2 device and have to register at B2X Care within 7 days of purchase by providing relevant purchase details.
"The customers will be sent across a physical document/pack post the formalities. After purchasing the service, please keep an eye out for a 'Welcome Email' from B2X to get your product registered. Do note that B2X may deny any coverage or support if the registration is not done within the stipulated time period," says OnePlus in a blog post.
These services, however, can not be availed on the OnePlus One.
B2X is the authorised service partner for OnePlus products in India.
