Telugu star Vishnu Manchu, whose name is synonymous with works like Mosagallu and Dhee, is gearing up for the highly-anticipating and high-octane release titled Kannappa. While his last movie Ginna had an underwhelming performance at the box office, his fans have pinned all their hopes on Kannappa and hence the excitement levels have also increased. Now, banking on this eagerness, the makers have dropped the first look on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, which has sent the fandom into a frenzy.
As per reports, the movie will star Baahubali fame Prabhas and has roped in Kangana Ranaut as well. Kannappa is touted to be an Indian epic based on a real story. The makers unveiled a breathtaking first look on March 8 on their social media handles. It features the protagonist, Vishnu Manchu’s character emerging from a cascading waterfall with a bow and an arrow in his hand and an intense expression on his face. The poster hints at the probability of action sequences in the movie.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Manchu took to his Instagram to express his gratitude. Sharing the same images, he wrote, “Honoured and privileged to portray the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva, Kannappa. Today on Maha Shivarathri, here is your Kannappa.” As per reports, Prabhas is set to essay the role of Lord Shiva.

This period drama is directed by Mukesh Singh and the second leg of the shoot is currently underway in New Zealand. As per reports, Vishnu Manchu’s son, Avram is all set to mark his debut in the movie. Apart from this, famed Hollywood cinematographer Sheldon Chow is also a part of the team. This pan-Indian movie is backed by 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment. The movie also reportedly stars Mohan Babu, Kriti Sanon, Nayanthara, Madhoo, Shiva Rajkumar, and R Sarathkumar to name a few.
