Female Host Of Dhanush's Captain Miller Event Bashes Alleged Molester, Viral Video Sparks Outrage
A video has gone viral from Captain Miller's event where the host bashed her alleged molester from the crowd.

Dhanush’s upcoming film, Captain Miller, set to hit theatres on January 12, is generating immense anticipation among audiences. To heighten excitement, the makers recently organised a grand audio launch event at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on January 3. However, at that same event, the lady who was hosting the show has alleged that she was molested by a man. A video has gone viral in which she can be seen slapping the man who allegedly touched her.

The clip that is all over X(formerly Twitter) captures her furiously bashing and scolding the alleged molester amid the burgeoning crowd. She can be heard saying, as quoted by the Indian Express, “Fall at my feet. Will hit you with my slippers. Why are you acting now, dog? Why then did you run? Don’t act. Don’t act.”

Later, she also took to her Instagram handle and issued a statement through Instagram stories. It read, “In that crowd, a guy harassed me. I faced him immediately and I didn’t let go until I started beating him. He ran but I chased him, refusing to leave my grip. I wasn’t able to accept that he had the guts to grab a woman’s body part. I shouted and attacked him. I have good people around me, and I know there is a lot of kind and respectful humans in the world. But I am too scared to be around these few percent of monsters (sic).”

For the unversed, Captain Miller event was attended by the film’s cast and crew, including Dhanush, Priyanka Mohan, and director Arun Matheshwaran, the event also paid tribute to the late legendary actor and politician Vijayakanth, who recently passed away due to pneumonia and other illnesses.

Remarkably, the Captain Miller pre-release event was the first mega event organised in Kollywood after Vijayakanth’s demise. The team observed a two-minute silence in the entire arena to pay respects to the deceased actor. They paid tribute to Kannada actor Puneet Rajkumar, whose brother Shiva Rajkumar plays a pivotal role in the film.

Addressing the film at the event, Dhanush stated, “The one word that defines Captain Miller is labour. It is made with blood and sweat. It is a film that was made by putting lives at stake. When the first single was released, you would have heard the line, ‘Do you believe in ghosts?’ That ghost is Arun Matheshwaran. He has put so much hard work into the film that I am embarrassed to say that I’ve also worked hard. The team took care of me like a flower, taking all the pain for themselves.”

Captain Miller is gearing up for a clash with highly anticipated films like Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Karam, Hanu Man, and Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayaalan on January 12.
