BJP MLA OP Sharma, who indulged in violence outside Delhi court, faces expulsion from Assembly
The Aam Aadmi Party-controlled Delhi Assembly ethics panel has now recommended Sharma's expulsion.

After he was booked by the Delhi Police for assaulting a Left activist outside the Patiala House Court, the Delhi Assembly ethics panel has recommended the expulsion of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA OP Sharma.

The Aam Aadmi Party-controlled Delhi Assembly ethics panel has now recommended expulsion and action is being discussed against him for allegedly verbally abusing AAP MLA Alka Lamba.

Sharma has been called a habitual offender by the ethics panel.

The BJP MLA, who was caught on camera beating a CPI activist on Monday, meanwhile joined the probe into the assault case on Thursday, a day after he was served summons by Delhi Police.

Sharma, a first-time MLA, presented himself before the Tilak Marg police station on Thursday.

The police had on Wednesday issued summons to him as well as three lawyers in connection with assault on journalists and JNU students and teachers at the court complex on Monday.
