Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 kicked off with 18 contestants on October 6. Actor Vijay Sethupathi hosted the first set of weekend episodes after Kamal Haasan bid farewell due to his other commitments. The theme for this season is Men vs Women. The biggest surprise of the latest season is that a contestant was eliminated within 24 hours of the show’s premiere. But she got back into the house through a secret passage to much of everyone’s surprise.
At the end of the first week, producer Ravinder Chandrasekaran became the first contestant to be eliminated from the house. After that, in the second week of nominations, the entire men’s team discussed the nomination and nominated Soundariya. She was nominated by all 7 men in the boy’s team, which raised many questions for viewers.
Recently, a new promo was dropped where tension amongst the housemates can be seen escalating following a task. Bigg Boss asks the contestants to do a player exchange in the weekly challenge, where one girl from the group will join the male housemates and vice versa. In one challenge, the men’s team in the shopping task went overboard with the expenses as they shopped for Rs 12,000 instead of spending Rs 8,700. In this situation, all the food items they took for this week were taken by the Bigg Boss and they should eat what they are given in the house.
Furious with their performance, Dharsha, who joined the male candidates for the assignment, got into a heated confrontation with them because she too had to bear the consequences of the challenge.
Meanwhile, another promo showed intense confrontations between contestants during a new task. Sachana and Jacqueline were asked to take on the dishwashing and cooking duties for a week during the new challenge. Following this, she accused the male contestants of being insensitive and lacking humanity. Muthukamaran hit back, which led to a verbal spat between him, Sachana and Jacqueline. With the new season, fans are eager to see how alliances will form and rivalries will flare in the Bigg Boss house.
The second round of nominations took place in the house on Monday. Ten contestants were nominated, including Muthukumaran, Vishal, Ranjith, Jeffrey, Dharsha, Soundariya, Sachana, Jacqueline and Deepak.
The season started with 18 dynamic contestants, each with their unique personalities and talents. The contestants include Ravinder Chandrasekaran, Dharsha Gupta, Sathya, Deepak Dinkar, RJ Ananthi, Sunita Gogoi, Gana singer Jeffrey, Ranjith, Pavitra Jannai, Soundariya Nanjundan, Arun Prasad, Tharshika, VJ Vishal, Anshitha Akbarsha, Arnav, Muthukumaran Jegatheesan, and VJ Jacqueline. Fans are already buzzing with excitement as they anticipate more twists and turns in this season.
