Ravindra Nath Tripathi of BJP leads from Bhadohi, constituency No. 392 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly.
The main candidates from Bhadohi seat were Rangnath Mishra (BSP), Zahid Beg (SP) and Bharat (SHS).
In the 2012 Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party won this constituency by 16,241 votes. Jahid Beg, the winning Samajwadi Party candidate, got 78,698 votes. The nearest contender was Ravindranath Tripathi of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) who got 62,457 votes. The voter turnout was 54.93 %.
Elections to 403 seats of Uttar Pradesh were held over 7 phases from February 4 to March 8.
Exit polls had predicted the BJP emerging first in Uttar Pradesh with the Samajwadi Party- Congress alliance emerging second and Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party emerging a distant third.
