England all-rounder Sam Curran got a bit frustrated during the ODI World Cup match against Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium as he pushed away the cameraman who was coming close to him near the boundary line. Curran, who has been an integral part of England’s white-ball set-up, has not been able to make a big impact so far in the ongoing WC. He also had an underwhelming start to the match on Sunday in New Delhi.

Curran was smashed hard by Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz after he hit him for 4,4,6 on in the 9th over of the match to collect 20 runs from the over.

In the next over, Curran was fielding near the boundary line and a cameraman came a bit close to him but the all-rounder pushed him away.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan were off to a brilliant start at Arun Jaitley Stadium as Rahmanullah Gurbaaz and Ibrahim Zadran shared a 114-run stand for the opening wicket. The duo set the platform for Afghanistan for a big score on a belter of a surface.

Earlier, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.

The defending champions decided to go with the same XI from their last match as star all-rounder Ben Stokes missed out once again.

“No particular reason (to bowl first), looks like a good wicket and we’ll like to chase. Looks like a good batting strip, South Africa and India posted big scores. I think we’ve improved a lot from the first to the second game, we just have to show the same intensity,” he said.

Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi announced a change to their playing XI. The side is yet to post a win in the competition after suffering defeats to Bangladesh and India. “We wanted to bowl first, but this is a 100-over game, we’ll have to bat well.”

“Looks like a batting pitch, expecting the same conditions like the last game. Hopeful of doing well and putting pressure on them. We’ve good spin options and anything around 300 should be a good score,” he stated.
