The deadline for fresh admissions for the July session (2023-2024) at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been extended until September 20. Additionally, the university has also extended the re-registration deadline with a late fee. Interested and eligible students who have not yet applied can complete the application form, while previous semester candidates can re-register through the official website at ignou.ac.in. The previous application deadline was September 10.
The university provides separate links for fresh admissions and re-registration on different websites. For fresh admissions in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs, candidates should register at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. For online courses, students must apply at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in. On the other hand, the re-registration link for the July session will be accessible on the official website at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in. Applicants will be required to submit a late fee of Rs 200.

IGNOU Admissions July 2023: Documents Required to Apply
To complete the registration process, students need to prepare and submit several essential documents. These include a scanned photograph, which should be less than 100 KB in size, as well as a scanned signature, also less than 100 KB. Additionally, students must provide a scanned copy of their relevant educational qualification, ensuring that the file size does not exceed 200 KB. If applicable, an experience certificate should also be scanned and submitted, again keeping the file size below 200 KB. Lastly, for those belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories, a scanned copy of the category certificate is required, with a file size limitation of 200 KB.
IGNOU offers over 200 distance learning programmes with degrees recognized globally. Admission to most courses is based on merit, while some, like B.Ed, M.Ed, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, M.Phil, and Ph.D., require entrance exams. IGNOU also provides Online Distance Learning (ODL) programmes for those who prefer virtual classes.
