On sale till October 31, there are 912 items for the e-auction and a few of these are displayed in an exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi

Starting from as little as Rs 100 and going as high as Rs 74.50 lakh, the fifth edition of the e-auction of mementos and gifts presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi is offering a wide variety of items for the general public.

On sale till October 31, there are 912 items for the e-auction and a few of these are displayed in an exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi.

First of the five auctions was organised in January 2019 and since then, over 7,000 items have been put on e-auction. The collection from this initiative will be used for preserving and restoring river Ganga.

Ram Darbar and Ram Mandir replica

A wooden statue of Ram Darbar, presently priced at Rs 1,51,100, and a mini wooden replica of Ram Mandir with the highest quoted price of Rs 80,000, are among the few items related to Lord Ram.

Gifted by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to the prime minister last year, the Ram Darbar statue captures the divine moment when Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman graced the Earth. The base price of this statue was Rs 55,100.

Weighing around 10 kg, the replica of Ram Mandir was priced at Rs 70,200 and as of Thursday, the highest quoted price was Rs 80,100. The model can be used as a decorative item for religious and residential settings and can be lit up with the electric connection given on the back.

In total, at least 15 different models of Ayodhya Ram temple are there in the auction, with the highest one price at Rs 80,100. The auction also offers a miniature of Kamakhya Temple from Assam.

Amritsar’s Golden Temple

Among the items up for auction is a mini model of the Golden Temple located in Amritsar, Punjab.

Gracefully placed on an acrylic base, the structure of the Golden Temple is depicted with attention to the smallest detail.

The memento’s base price was Rs 13,500 but, till date, its highest quoted price is Rs 11,11,100.

Highest priced item – Paresh Maity’s painting

A painting of Banaras Ghat by contemporary Indian artist Paresh Maity is the highest priced item in the auction. Initially priced at Rs 64.80 lakh, the highest quoted price is Rs 74.50 lakh.

The painting is a tribute to the timeless charm of the city, where ancient traditions blend harmoniously with modern aspirations. The skilful brushstrokes of the artist portray the rippling Ganges, the trees, and the sacred ghats that have witnessed centuries of devotion and spirituality.

Various items for train, flight lovers too

While most of the items placed for auction showcase cultural India, a few show a growing and progressive country as well.

Artist Rukesh Kambale’s exquisite oil on canvas painting is also in the list, showcasing the Vande Bharat train in a lush green background. Kambale had presented the painting to the prime minister. With a base price of Rs 37,800, the highest quoted price of this painting is Rs 40,000.

Another wall hanging ‘Painting of a Railway Scene’ is available at the base price of Rs 77,800. The nearly six kg oil on canvas painting depicts a vibrant railway scene.

The e-auction offers a scaled Model of Vande Bharat, priced at Rs 35,000. Its base price was Rs 34,700. A model of Metro Rail Project in Kanpur is available at the base price of Rs 41,000. Model of Kochin Railway is available at Rs 30,300. Also a mini model of Hybrid Battery Electric Boat of India — being used in Kochin as Water Metro — is also up for sale with base price of Rs 51,800.

A miniature replica of the Airbus A350 XWB is also up for sale with the highest quoted price of Rs 17,600.

The auction also offers a model of Shivamogga Airport, weighing around 19 kg. The scaled model of Shivamogga Airport was presented to the prime minister by the Karnataka government. It is priced at Rs 55,300.

Also, T2 Scaled Model of Interior Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, is also up for sale at the highest quoted price of Rs 12,000.

The auction will end at 5pm on October 31.
