Afghanistan influencer Wazhma Ayoubi congratulated India on the 228-run win over Pakistan and wanted Afghanistan to 'crush' PAK in the ODI World Cup

With the Asia Cup underway in Sri Lanka and Pakistan, cricket is a trending topic across the internet. Asian cricket fans are leaving no stone unturned to show love for their favourite teams, dropping engaging content on social media. Amid this growing hype, a popular influencer from Afghanistan, Wazhma Ayoubi, has come up with a special post for her country on X. It also demonstrates her admiration for Team India. Her post arrived on the microblogging platform after the Men in Blue hammered Pakistan in the maiden Super 4 fixture on September 11.

Wazhma wants Afghanistan to take motivation for the Indian team and put up a similar performance against Pakistan when both teams will square off in the ICC ODI World Cup. The match is slated to be hosted at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 23.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) congratulated India on their dominant 228-run victory over Pakistan through an X post. Resharing the post, Wazhma Ayoubi wrote, “Can’t wait for Afghanistan to crush Pakistan in (the) same style in Chennai at the CWC 2023 when Afghan Atalan faces Pakistan.” In a subsequent post, Wazhma was seen posing in the Indian jersey, with a brief note reading, “Congratulations Bharat. What a win.”

Wazhma’s craze for cricket is not an unknown affair for the social media population. She first hogged the limelight during a 2022 Asia Cup match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. After the Afghan brigade prevailed on the occasion, Wazhma came live on Instagram and showed support for her home country.

Hailing from Afghanistan, Wazhma reportedly moved to the United Arab Emirates at an early age to pursue her professional career. She now owns a fashion brand named LAMAN and has a dream of making her name in Bollywood. The 28-year-old currently resides in Dubai.
