Shruti Haasan clarifies she is not married yet. The actress issued a clarification after Orry addressed her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika as her husband.

Shruti Haasan broke her silence on rumours that she married her boyfriend, music artist Santanu Hazarika. The actress has been dating Santanu for while now. While the couple has not shared their wedding plans, internet sensation Orry aka Orhan Awatramani sparked rumours that they are married after he referred to Santanu as Shruti’s husband. Shruti took to her Instagram Stories and shut down the claims.

The Salaar star clarified that they are not married and she would keep fans in loop if and when the day arrives. “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don’t know me at all, please calm down,” she wrote.

Orry caused the confusion during an AMA session he held on Reddit. He answered fans’ questions about his personal life and the lives of those around him. During the questioning, Orry recalled one time when Shruti Haasan was “rude” to him and ended up referring to her boyfriend Shantanu Hazarika as “her husband”.

A fan asked Orry, “Hi Orry has there been a celebrity who has shown you an unnecessary attitude while posing for a photo?? If you can’t take a name just give hints…” To this, Orry replied, “Shruti Hasan. Not for posing cause I never asked her, but she was very very rude to me at an event that I had actually got her into and I don’t even know her!”

On the work front, Shruti Haasan was last seen in Salaar. The film starred Prabhas in the lead and Prithviraj Sukumaran in a pivotal role. The film featured a number of violent scenes that has everyone talking. Addressing the violence in the movie and told The Indian Express. “I feel that cinema and music, there are different kinds of TV shows, different kinds of books, some depict violence, some don’t. Yes, I am a mental health advocate and the biggest thing I would advocate for is knowing what you are watching.”
