Munawar Faruqui in Tears As He Breaks Silence on His Ex-Wife, 5-Year Child: 'She Is Married Now...'

Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, who chose to stay mum on his personal life on Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp, had an emotional breakdown in the latest episode of Bigg Boss 17, where he spoke about his ex-wife and their 5-year-old child, a baby boy.

In a moving conversation with co-contestant Neil Bhatt, Munawar got emotional as he revealed that his ex-wife recently got married and he finally had his son’s custody. “My ex-wife is married now, and I have custody of my son. He is 5 years old. When he came back to me six months ago after I got the custody, I realised what I was missing. Finally, I have him with me now. I have connected with him so much in the past 3-4 months. I’m missing him. I’m constantly thinking about what he’d be doing at the moment. Now that I’m here, all of this hits me on a very different level altogether,” Munawar told Neil Bhatt.

During Lock Upp season 1, Kangana Ranaut had showed a picture of Munawar, with a woman and a kid, and asked him if he’d want to divulge any detail about the photo that was going viral on social media. Kangana also asked him if it was indeed him in the picture. Munawar then said, “I don’t want to talk about this. Not on social media, not on a platform like Lock Upp. This is not something I want to talk about.” However, he admitted that it was indeed his picture. Munawar added, “I am not hiding anything, but we have been separated for the past one and a half years. Court ki cheezein ho rahi hain (The matter is in the court) and I do not want to discuss that. It has been difficult.”
