Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder. Those suffering from PCOS have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone levels. The ovaries may develop small cysts because of which they fail to release eggs regularly.
Along with PCOS, endometriosis is also becoming quite common among females. In recent times, many celebrities have opened up about struggling with this health condition.
In 2022, Shruti Haasan opened up about her health conditions. While posting a workout video on Instagram, the actress revealed facing “some of the worst hormonal issues.”
The Yevadu actress wrote, “Work out with me. I’ve been facing some of the worst hormonal issues with my PCOS and endometriosis – women know it’s a tough fight with imbalance bloating and metabolical challenges. But instead of looking at it as a fight, I choose to accept it as a natural movement that my body goes through to do its best. And I say thank you for eating right, sleeping well and enjoying my workout. My body isn’t perfect right now, but my heart is.”
She further added, “Keep fit, keep happy and let those happy hormones flow! I know I sound a tad preachy but it’s been such a journey to accept these challenges and not let them define me. so, I’m happy to share this with all of you.”
Actress Shruti Haasan marked her debut as a child artist in the Tamil-Hindi bilingual film, Hey Ram, directed by her father Kamal Haasan. She made her debut as a female lead in 2009 with the Bollywood film, Luck.
She has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. Among some of her big projects are Gabbar Singh, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Yevadu, Race Gurram, Gabbar Is Back, Welcome Back, Krack, Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya.
She was last seen in Salaar: Part 1– Ceasefire opposite Prabhas.
