The Fall Guy's Post-Credit Scenes And Cameos Explained
The Fall Guy is not a sequel but is based on the '80s TV show of the same name.

The David Leitch directorial The Fall Guy was released on the big screens today, May 3. Starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in the lead, the action-comedy has so far generated favourable reviews from the masses and critics. The film is based on the 1981 television series of the same title starring Lee Majors and Heather Thomas. Although the TV show failed to gain recognition back at that time, the makers of the film actively incorporated some intriguing features at the end that deserve special attention. Here are some distinguished elements displayed in the movie’s post-credits scenes, explained in detail.

Game Of Thrones star Jason Momoa made an appearance in The Fall Guy’s post-credit scenes, as per Comic Book. The appearance was convenient as a joke earlier in the movie when Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) was attempting to recall if the last name of the Game Of Thrones star was spelled “Momoa" or “Mamoa." In the in-world film Metalstorm, Momoa plays Ryder after the latter is revealed to have killed his stuntman.

After the credits rolled, the audience was also given a glimpse of some behind-the-scenes of The Fall Guy, featuring action sequences. Stunts were an important component of the film with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt packing a few punches by wearing the action gear themselves. Besides, viewers were also shown how other stunt artists and the creative team worked in union to make the action-orientated scenes a success. The celebrity duo’s body doubles were also given due credit in the credits roll.

The post-credit scenes do not end here. The makers also paid tribute to the original The Fall Guy television show. Ryan Gosling’s Colt Seavers and Emily Blunt’s Jody Moreno realise they have established Colt’s innocence after Tom Ryder admits to being accountable for his own stuntman’s death because they have a recording of Tom’s confession. Authorities try to apprehend Tom and his producer Gail Meyer (Hannah Waddingham) on the set of Jody’s film.

Tom unintentionally enters an area where pyrotechnics are all around him while trying to elude the authorities. When he takes out his phone, the signal from the gadget triggers the explosions as they completely engulf the actor.

The Fall Guy revolves around a stuntman in search of his former girlfriend’s film co-star.
