Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Team 'Shocked' As Gurucharan Singh Goes Missing; Monaz Mevawalla Reveals

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame actor Gurucharan Singh has been missing for over ten days now. In a recent interview, Monaz Mevawalla, who plays the role of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in TMKOC, shared that everyone on sets was “shocked” when they learnt about Singh’s disappearance.

“When I first learnt about the news, that time I was entering the sets and my co-star Balwinder was also there. We were shooting in the Sodhi house. We both got the message forward from our industry friends. Everyone on the sets was shocked that suddenly what happened, why? I mean where is he missing?” Monaz, who joined TMKOC just five months back, told E-Times.

“Then we also got the photo of the missing complaint. It had also started circulating. It was very sad and everyone was like wherever he is he should be doing fine and cops should be able to locate him soon. Everyone on the sets has been wishing well for Gurucharan ji, including me and wants him to come back soon,” the actress added.

Monaz further shared that she does not know Gurucharan personally since she joined TMKOC only after he left. She admitted that they never interacted and added, “I know him from the show, otherwise I don’t know him. I have no idea what is happening in this matter as I don’t know him so people are not even discussing it with me. I am not updated on where he is right now.”

For the unversed, Gurucharan Singh was last seen on April 22. His father filed a missing complaint four days later which stated, “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.”

On Thursday, News18 Showsha exclusively reported that the actor may have “planned” his own disappearance. “He left his phone in the Palam area. We are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage, we recovered that he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. Looks like, he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi,” police sources told us.
