Kapil Sharma's birthday celebrations included Sunil Grover and Guru Randhawa among others.

Kapil Sharma celebrated his birthday yesterday with his family and close friends. He cut a Netflix-themed cake to celebrate his new show and enjoyed a good time with his loved ones, including his wife Ginni Chatrath, singer Guru Randhawa and actor Sunil Grover.

Fans were happy to see Kapil celebrate his birthday with Sunil after the duo hadn’t been on talking terms for nearly six years. In a video shared by Guru Randhawa, Kapil could be seen cutting a cake while Sunil sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for him. Watch the video here:

Sunil Grover also dropped a photo with Kapil Sharma on his X handle and wished him “health, happiness and joy” on his birthday. “Happy Birthday @KapilSharmaK9 pah ji. Wish you health, happiness and joy, keep entertaining, ab toh export quality hai Lots of love. ,” the actor-comedian wrote. This is for the first time in six years that Sunil sent birthday wishes to Kapil on social media. The two had an ugly fight in 2018 following which they were not on talking terms.

Sunil Grover recently reunited with Kapil Sharma for the latter’s The Great Indian Kapil Show. The show premiered on March 30th and marked Sunil and Kapil’s reunion after six years. Besides the two, it also stars Kiku Sharda and Archana Puran Singh in key roles.

Grover became a household name with his fictional characters Gutthi and Dr Mashoor Gulati in Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show respectively. However, he had an ugly fight with Kapil in 2018 while they were returning from a show in Australia. They got into a heated argument following which Sunil stopped working with Kapil.

Last month, Sunil opened up about his fight with Kapil and joked that it was “a publicity stunt” they did for Netflix long before the streaming giant set foot in India. “We were seated on the flight and we learnt that Netflix was coming to India. So, kuch aisa ho ke (acha) publicity stunt ho,” Sunil said, poking fun at his and Kapil’s fight. Sunil even joked that Netflix India had called them to ask what could be done and thus, this idea came to them.
