Soorma First Look: Diljit Dosanjh is in Top Form As Hockey Player Sandeep Singh

After remaking Mani Ratnam's popular film O Kadhal Kanmani, Shaad Ali is all set to make a biopic based on the life of legendary hockey player Sandeep Singh.

Diljit Dosanjh, who is all set to bring Sandeep's life on celluloid, took to Twitter and shared the first poster of the film titled Soorma. He captioned the poster as, "A hockey stick and a bullet...One gave direction to his life while the other changed it forever! #SOORMA - The greatest comeback story ever! ????29th June ???? @sonypicsprodns @taapsee @Imangadbedi @Flicker_Singh @SnehaRajani @IChitrangda @shaadesh @thecsfilms"

The poster depicts two phases of Sandeep's life- one wherein he is in top form and holds a hockey stick with panache, and another in which he's wheelchair-ridden due to an injury he had suffered. Both phases of his life look equally intriguing and it'll be interesting to see how Shaad brings to screen the life and times of the legendary hockey player.

To be released on June 29, 2018, the film stars Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi alongside the actor. In fact, a video shred by Diljit also shows the Punjabi connect between Diljit and Angad.
