Rashmika Mandanna Reacts To Rumoured BF Vijay Deverakonda's VD12 Poster, Calls It 'Madness'

Vijay Deverakonda has surprised his fans by announcing his next film VD 12. He has also shared intense posters and announced the release date. The action drama will be released next year on March 28, 2025. Fans also reacted to it and called it his ‘comeback’. Jumping on this bandwagon now is Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend and actress Rashmika Mandanna.

Taking to his social media handles earlier today, Vijay Deverakonda shared posters in which he is seen sporting a beard look and screaming while getting wet in the rain. “His Destiny awaits him. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Questions. Rebirth. 28 March, 2025. #VD12,” read the caption. As soon as the posters were shared, fans reacted. One of the fans wrote, “Massive comeback.” Another wrote, “Okay next blockbuster loading.”

It is said that the film is a spy thriller. And, that in ‘VD 12,’ Vijay takes on the role of a cop for the first time, promising high-octane action sequences that are sure to thrill his fans.

Vijay was last seen in a cameo appearance in Kalki 2898 AD. Vijay Deverakonda’s cameo in Kalki 2898 AD took everyone by surprise and fans have been showering him with love. Some also noted that it was time Vijay took up a period drama role. Amid these praises, reports are doing the rounds about the fees Vijay Deverakonda charges for Kalki 2898 AD. Vijay, who has worked with Nag Ashwin in the director’s directorial debut film Yevade Subramanyam, allegedly did the Kalki 2898 AD cameo for free.

According to a report by Siasat.com, Vijay did not charge a penny from Nag Ashwin for Kalki 2898 AD. The report also claimed that Vijay might reprise his role as Arjuna in Kalki 2898 AD’s sequel. Besides Vijay, the film also featured cameos by Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, and Faria Abdullah.

Vijay had also reviewed Kalki 2898 AD after its release. “Just watched the film. I don’t know what to say… Overwhelmed. Indian cinema’s new level unlocked. Wth was that! I hope it makes a 1000 crores and more… #Kalki2898AD,” he wrote on X. Vijay also changed his X profile picture to his look in the film.
