Ranveer Singh is reportedly all set to begin shooting for Aditya Dhar’s spy-thriller next week with Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna. If the latest reports are to be believed, Ranveer will begin the film’s shoot on July 25. Earlier, it was reported that the shoot was scheduled for May.
However, Pinkvilla has now reported that the film will go on floors next week. They quoted a source as saying, “It’s a film set in the golden era of Indian Intelligence Agencies, coinciding with the rise of R&AW. The team unites for the international leg, followed by schedules in India and UAE.”
“The official announcement is also around the corner. Ranveer is excited to venture into the new world of agents with Aditya Dhar’s next. While Sanjay Dutt plays the negative turn in the film, Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal will be seen as a part of the Indian System,” the source added. The source added that the cast met for a photoshoot earlier this month. However, the film doesn’t have a title yet.
“After URI, this is the perfect follow-up for director Aditya Dhar. He is intrigued by the world of spies and believes that his next will connect with the audiences all across. Ranveer is also pumped up to return to the sets with Dhar’s next. The film will be shot over a 6-month period and hit the big screen in the 2nd half of 2025,” the source concluded.
Earlier, the portal had reported that Ranveer instantly agreed to do the film. “It was an instant yes from Ranveer Singh. He heard the script and got all charged up to be a part of Dhar’s world in the first meeting itself. He asked his team to rework his calendar and put the Aditya Dhar film on priority. While Don 3 and Shaktimaan have been in the planning stage for a while now, the Aditya Dhar film has just come together organically in the forefront for Ranveer Singh,” a source told the portal.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Ranveer Singh is expecting his first child with Deepika Padukone. The actress announced the happy news on her Instagram handle and also revealed that she’d deliver the baby in September this year. Deepika shared an adorable poster with “September 2024” written on it. The poster also had children’s clothes, toys and balloons as the border.
