Nazriya Nazim is prepping for a comeback to the silver screen with the upcoming Malayalam release Sookshmadarshini. The actress is going to share the screen space with Basil Joseph, another prominent name in the Malayalam film industry.
After a gap of almost 2 years, Nazriya Nazim is ready for her theatrical comeback with Sookshmadarshini. As per the latest updates on the upcoming release, the film’s shoot commenced on Wednesday, May 29. The Bangalore Days star took to her official Instagram handle to share the news in a joint post with Basil Joseph.
The post was shared with an exclusive poster of the film, featuring AI-drawn faces of the two leads, with each of their single eye zoomed in. The caption gave more details on the film, “Sookshmadarshini started rolling today. Directed by MC @mcjithin. Produced by Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid & AV Anoop. Starring: Nazriya Nazim, Basil Joseph.”

Sookshmadarshini is being helmed by MC Jithin from the Nonsense fame. Apart from Nazriya Nazim and Basil Joseph, the cast also includes Deepak Parambol, Siddharth Bharathan, Merin Philip, Akhila Bhargavan, Pooja Mohanraj and Kottayam Ramesh among many others. The film is co-written by MC Jithin, Athul Ramachandran and Libin TB. It is being bankrolled by Happy Hours Entertainments and AVA Productions. The music in the film is being handled by Christo Xavier, the cinematographer is Sharan Velayudhan and Chaman Chacko is doing the editing.
Nazriya Nazim was last seen in the 2022 Telegu release Ante Sundaraniki, where she appeared opposite Nani. While Basil Joseph’s recent release is the Malayalam film Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, which debuted in theatres this month.
