Kartik Aaryan is quite secretive about his love life, but gossip about his romantic escapades has always spread like wildfire. Rumours have linked him with leading ladies Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor. Both Ananya and Janhvi have dropped hints in interviews suggesting that their relationships with Kartik didn’t last. While neither have confirmed their relationships, Kartik Aaryan’s recent interview has led fans to speculate that things didn’t end well for either pair.
During a recent chat with Filmy Gyan, Kartik was asked to give hashtags to Bollywood’s leading ladies. While Kartik easily gave hashtags to Alia Bhatt and Triptii Dimri, he avoided giving one to Ananya Panday and asked to “skip” Janhvi Kapoor. He said, “Actually, I would skip that one. Main film ka naam lene wala tha, pata chala voh doosra…”

Interestingly, Kartik did not shy away from giving a hashtag to Sara Ali Khan, who was also rumoured to be dating him. He dedicated the song Mehrama to her from their film, Love Aaj Kal 2.
Sara supposedly dated Kartik during Love Aaj Kal 2, and Kartik and Janhvi were said to be in a relationship during the filming of Dostana 2, which unfortunately got shelved, along with their romance. Kartik and Ananya are rumoured to have dated while filming the 2019 film Pati, Patni Aur Woh.
The actresses have cryptically spoken about their respective relationships with a certain actor, who fans speculate is Kartik Aaryan. During an appearance on Koffee with Karan, Karan asked Janhvi if Khushi Kapoor was to work with Ananya Panday, what piece of advice she would give her younger sister. “Just make sure you don’t end up liking the same guys,” Janhvi responded, leaving Karan and Khushi in splits.
Speaking about dating an actor, Janhvi told Karan Johar, “I want someone to be obsessed with me. The thing is you need someone to be okay with your… there needs to be a balance. You need someone who is okay to let you have your moment also but I find with actors that they get very competitive and they get very weird. I’ve said never (to dating actors).”
Janhvi continued, “There is always tension when there is an actor. I can’t deal with that tension because I like to be undyingly devoted and I expect that devotion and I think when you are in the same profession, it’s difficult, specifically this (acting) profession.”
Sara Ali Khan also made an appearance on Karan Johar’s show with Janhvi Kapoor. When Karan put Sara on the spot, asking, “one reason why your ex is your ex,” she said, “because he’s everyone’s ex.” This led people to think that she was talking about Kartik Aaryan.
