Months after her breakup with Asim Riaz, Himanshi Khurana took to her Instagram handle on Monday to drop a video where she was seen dressed as a bride. In the clip, the Punjabi actress-singer was seen posing on a riverside. She sported a red salwar suit and accessorised her look with a red chooda and kaleere along with other traditional jewellery.
Even though Himanshi did not write anything in the caption, she added lyrics in the background, saying, “Woh zeher deta toh puri duniya ke nigah mei aa jata. Toh yeh kia ki mujhe waqt par dawai nai di. (If he had given me poison, it would have come to the attention of the whole world. So what he did was not give me medicine on time.)”
Soon after the video was shared, fans rushed to the comments section wondering if the post hints at her breakup with Asim Riaz. “Yeh Asim ke liye hai na,” one of the users wrote. “Aisi hasina ko kaun kambakht zeher dega ye to seene se lagaa kar aur Dil me samaa kar rakhne wali ladki hai,” added another.
Last week, Himanshi shared another post on her Instagram stories which talked about why it is important to speak against the wrong.
“Somebody’s doing wrong to you or to someone else in your family and you just say to yourself I should have patience, I should be quiet. Because you are quiet, the person who is doing something wrong continues to do more wrong. You say, ‘No no my patience is being tested, I should be quieter’. Because of your silence now the wrong has increased 10 times more. You committed an excess, you weren’t supposed to yell and scream, you are not supposed to become ignorant but you are supposed to at least speak the truth. Call the truth for what it is. It is what it is. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong,” the video said.
Himanshi met Asim inside the Bigg Boss 13 house and fell in love with each other. They were together for four years before they announced their breakup in December 2023. However, in June this year, a report by Hindustan Times claimed that the two parted ways over religious beliefs. An insider cited by the portal claimed that Himanshi is “sensitive” about the issue and therefore, avoids talking about it.
Later, Himanshi also issued a statement and urged everyone to respect her privacy. “My biggest flex is that nobody ever knows what’s really going on in my life. Where I am, or my next move, unless I make it known. Therefore anything anyone says is just an assumption. Privacy is my luxury. Privacy is my peace. Better do not try to be my close source,” she wrote.
