Devara Box Office Day 6: Jr NTR Film Picks Up Pace, Crosses Rs 200 Cr Mark
Within six days of its release, Jr NTR's Devara: Part 1 has collected over Rs 200 crores in India.

Jr NTR’s action epic, Devara Part 1, has witnessed a significant surge in collection across all languages, mainly over the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. On the sixth day of release (first Wednesday), the film minted a solid Rs 20.5 crore net with a registered spike of 46.43 per cent in collections from Tuesday. While the original Telugu version collected Rs 13.3 crore, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam versions grossed over Rs 6 crore.

The boost in numbers even pushed the film past Rs 200 crore within six days of release, regaining its footing after a big dip on its first Monday.

On its opening day, Devara collected Rs 82.5 crore in all languages. However, the numbers saw a major fall on Saturday, bringing down the Day 2 collections to Rs 38.2 crore. After a minor increase on Sunday, the numbers were drastically down on Monday, minting only Rs 12.75 crore on Day 4 and Rs 14 crore on Day 5.

Taking the film’s total earnings into account, Devara has collected Rs 208.01 crore. Ahead of the upcoming Navratri festivity, it is yet to be seen how the film will note numbers in collections upon entering its second weekend. On the other hand, it might have a few competitions by next week with films like Vettaiyan, Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video hitting theatres.

More On Devara: Part 1

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara features a star-studded ensemble with actors like Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Tom Shine Chacko and others in significant roles. The film has Jr NTR in a dual role as father-son, Devara and Varadha. While Devara is shown as a fearless leader who refuses to allow any illegal activities by the men of Yerra Samudram, his son Vara later steps up to carry on the family legacy.

Saif Ali Khan plays Kushti expert Bhaira, while Janhvi portrays Jr NTR’s love interest, Thangam. It is pertinent to note that the film marks NTR’s first solo release in six years after 2018’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. He was last seen in SS Rajamouli’s RRR alongside Ram Charan.
