Allu Arjun Says 'Hrithik Roshan Is Nothing In Front Of Prabhas' In Viral Video: 'He's Number One' | Watch

As Arshad Warsi’s comments about Prabhas’ role in Kalki 2898 AD continue to cause a stir, Redditors have dug up a throwback video in which Allu Arjun can be seen comparing the rebel star with Hrithik Roshan. In the clip, Allu Arjun quoted SS Rajamouli and said that Hrithik Roshan is inferior to Prabhas. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan’s fans were amused to see that the superstar was regarded as a ‘benchmark to beat’.

In the now-viral clip, Allu Arjun said, “He (Prabhas) goes great fights and is number one in all. As SS Rajamouli said, ‘Hrithik Roshan is nothing in front of Prabhas’.” The camera then panned to Prabhas who was seen smiling at the comment. Watch the clip here:

The clip has gone viral on Reddit and users of the microblogging site flocked to the comments section to express their hot takes. One person wrote, “I think he is using Hrithik as some kind of bar, it looks bad in today’s context but it’s a very common Indian way to butter up someone.” Another added, “They are just trying to hype Prabhas using Hrithik as a bar In a jovial way. I don’t see any malice there. The only thing this proves is that Hrithik will remain a benchmark for everyone from North to South. It’s actually a big compliment.”

Meanwhile, for the unversed, Arshad Warsi recently said that Prabhas looked like a ‘joker’ in Kalki 2898 AD. The actor was asked to name a recent film he watched and didn’t like. The Golmaal star named Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad said that while he loved Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwatthama in the Nag Ashwin directorial, he was not impressed by Prabhas’ look. He added that Prabhas should have been made to look like Mel Gibson.
