Actor Suniel Shetty has always been a happy and proud father-in-law. From praising KL Rahul’s performance in cricket to always addressing him as his own son, the Bollywood actor never refrains from showing his affection for his son-in-law. On the cricketer’s birthday, Suniel Shetty has once again shared a heartwarming post, extending his sweet wishes for Rahul. The actor shared a group picture on Instagram showing him relaxing with his son Ahan Shetty and KL Rahul on the couch. In his caption, the actor, while addressing Rahul as his son, said that he feels blessed to have him in their lives.

“They say it’s not what we have in life , but who we have in our life that matters …feeling blessed to have you in ours for it’s a connection I can’t explain …happy birthday Rahul … love you son,” he wrote.

Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty got married to KL Rahul in January 2023 at the actor’s Khandala farmhouse. It was a private traditional wedding with very selective guests in attendance. KL Rahul is presently playing in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Lucknow Super Giants. Recently, rumours also made the rounds about Rahul and Athiya expecting their first child. Following Suniel Shetty’s certain remarks on a dance reality show about becoming a ‘nana’, fans were left wondering if the actor dropped a hint about his daughter’s pregnancy.

Currently, Suniel Shetty is gearing up for his next film, Welcome to the Jungle, a standalone sequel to Welcome and Welcome Back. A third installment in the Welcome franchise, the film features a star-studded cast of Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani, among others.

The actor is also expected to return to the iconic Hera Pheri franchise, reuniting with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. An official confirmation is yet to be made about the highly-anticipated film.
