Ranveer and Deepika to Make Their Couple Debut on Manish Malhotra Mijwan Runway | Exclusive

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be walking for the first time as a couple to celebrate 10 years of Mijwan. The stars who have walked individually in Manish Malhotra’s Mijwan collections in the past, will make their runway debut as husband and wife.

The power couple will be seen sashaying the runway in signature Manish Malhotra ensembles to lend their support to girl child empowerment, a cause very close to Manish Malhotra. Confirming the news, a source close to the brand, says, “Ranveer and Deepika will be walking for the first time as a couple.” We have also learnt that since Mijwan works towards empowering the girl child and women, Ranveer and Deepika are coming in support of the cause and agreed to walk together as a couple for the show.

Empowering lives and embroidering dreams for a decade now, Mijwan is about the people, purpose, and progress. A special film documenting the 10-year journey will be screened at the show. “The documentary is about celebrating the child and how the Mijwan collection empowers them. Manish Malhotra is a brand with a cause, where he is constantly striving to empower and educate the girl child and women in rural areas,” adds the source.

Sharing a glimpse of what 10 years of Mijwan will look like, Manish Malhotra shared a video on Instagram, with a message that read: #10yearsofMijwan. Handcrafting India’s Growth, one #Chikankari embroidery at a time. (sic)”

The Mijwan Couture Show which will be held on July 29^th at the Jio World Convention Centre, is a special showcase as it celebrates 10 years of Mijwan. Actor Shabana Azmi who is the president of the Mijwan Welfare Society, took to Instagram recently, and complemented Manish. She wrote: Manish Malhotra and Mijwan Welfare Society make a fabulous team. On 29^th July watch the magic come alive (sic).”
