Miley Cyrus has been busy teasing her upcoming project with Converse lately -- but the singer isn't the only famous name to have announced a footwear collaboration recently. Here are three of the hottest limited edition shoe partnerships making headlines at the moment.
Miley Cyrus x Converse
Popstar Cyrus has joined forces with sneaker brand Converse on a special collection, which, from the looks of things, has been heavily influenced by the star's own glitter-loving, vibrantly-colored personal style. She took to Instagram last week to share a glimpse of four of the models she has been working on, including a pair of white hi-tops with a bubble gum pink glitter band, as well as a millennial pink sneaker with a glittery silver sole, and a pair of unisex shoes with a paisley trim. An exact release date has yet to be announced, but the singer has promised that more designs will be "coming soon."
Gigi Hadid x Stuart Weitzman
Supermodel Gigi Hadid has also been flexing her shoe design muscles lately, teaming up with luxury footwear label Stuart Weitzman on a new collaboration that launched November 15. The capsule collection focuses on two styles of flat pointed-toe mules, titled the Eyelove and the Eyelovemore, fabricated in suede and leather, with various colorways available. The shoes are adorned with the distinctive motif of the evil eye, and sales will benefit Pencils of Promise, a non-profit organization that builds schools and increases educational opportunities in the developing world.
Travis Scott x Nike
Rapper Travis Scott finally confirmed his long-rumored collaboration with Nike back in October, when he shared a photo of himself on stage, wearing a pair of Nike kicks. The image caption, which read "WORK-IN-PROGRESS #af1 #teamnike," indicated that he had put his stamp on the brand's famous Air Force 1 shoe, and Complex reports that the sneaker will go on general release on December 2.
