Anniesa Hasibuan Becomes The First Designer to Present Collection with Hijabs at NYFW

Designers have been showcasing their exquisite collections at New York Fashion Week. Considering the number of designers who're lighting up the runway, it's a little too easy to forget a few of them. However, designer Anniesa Hasibuan is definitely not one of them.

Apart from being the first Indonesian designer to present her collection at NYFW, she's also the first one to bring Hijabs on the runway. In the first of its kind presentation, the designer showcased a collection inspired by Jakarta - her home town.

The models sashayed down the runway sporting hijabs aesthetically teamed up with modern silhouettes. Skirts, trousers, gowns and kimonos dominated the collection.
