New Delhi: While UK is 'determined' to give an 'unforgettable' welcome to Narendra Modi, the India Prime Minister's visit in November just before the G20 summit is unlikely to witness any big announcements on financial investments in India, say sources.

Sources say that UK feels that it needs to win Modi's attention as he has already succeeded in attracting the world's interest in India.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had recently met high ranking UK officials to work out the proposals which are feasible. A cooperation in facilitating funds for Indian railway makeover is likely to be announced during the visit.

Modi is likely to meet the Queen of United Kingdom for lunch during his trip. He is also likely to address a gathering of 80,000 people in UK during his trip.

UK is also said to be worried about losing the Indian student population to other countries and is keen on regaining its position as a preferred destination. There has been a downfall in the number of students going to the UK in the last few years.
