KARIMNAGAR: The Telangana non-gazetted officers on Friday called off their relay hunger strike demanding deletion of clause 14 (f). Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar offered lime juice to the TNGOs in the camp here.Speaking on the occasion, the MP urged his counterparts from the region to support the ‘sakala janula samme’ to be launched on August 17.Prabhakar said he would not attend the ongoing Parliament session as he had put in his papers.He hailed BJP leader Sushma Swaraj for raising discussion on Telangana in the Parliament on Friday as was promised by her recently.“Had Telangana Congress MPs been in the Parliament on Friday, they would have retaliated in the proper manner to the ‘anti-Telangana’ statements made by Seemandhra MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao,” he said. He urged the central government to initiate the process of forming separate Telangana. He suggested the government not to provoke Telangana employees by invoking ESMA against them in retaliation to srike proposed from August 17.
